I recently had the pleasure of documenting the wedding of Dash and Griff. Their wedding day was spent at The Old House near Maesteg, a new venue for myself and a real hidden gem. Set against the backdrop of rolling hills and open countryside, the Old House which is a grade 2 listed building is one of South Wales’ oldest pubs and offers plenty of photo opportunities and authentic rural charm.
The day began with coverage of the bridal preparations with Dash before meeting Griff and the groomsmen. The wedding service was held in the large ceremony room with open views across the Nant Y Gadlys valley. We managed to capture some lovely candid moments before the afternoon celebrations began in earnest.
A little time was reserved for a few group photos and some wedding portraits, making full use of the amazing locations around the venue. The remainder of the day was then spent taking plenty of candid photos as Dash and Griff celebrated with family and friends, including full coverage of the wedding speeches and first dance.
