I recently had the absolute pleasure of documenting the wedding celebrations of Alisha and Rhys. Their wedding took place at St Catharine’s Church in Baglan with their wedding reception afterwards at the picturesque venue of Canada Lake and Lodge in Cardiff.
Coverage for the day began with the preparations of Alisha and her bridesmaids as well as Rhys and the groomsmen. Here we were able to capture a few detail photos as well as background shots of the build up before making our way to St Catharine’s for the arrival of the wedding guests.
St Catharine’s Church was especially fitting as the location for Alisha and Rhys’ ceremony as it was also the wedding venue for Alisha’s parents.
With the formal part of the day complete, we made the short journey along the M4 to Canada Lake & Lodge near Llantrisant for the wedding reception. With beautiful late spring weather and the sun shining overhead, the views across the lake provided the perfect backdrop for Alisha and Rhys’ wedding celebrations.
For the remainder of the day we focused on capturing plenty of candid moments as the bride and groom celebrated with family and friends. We also made sure to take a few relaxed wedding portraits as well as a handful of group photos.
