The wedding season always kicks off in earnest in April and this year it was an absolute pleasure to be able to document the wedding of Katie and Emyr. Their wedding took place at the incredible venue of Fairyhill, a grade 2 listed Georgian house nestled in the heart of the Gower.
Coverage of both the bridal and groom preparations took place in the nearby cottages, allowing me to capture plenty of candid moments as both Katie and Emyr were getting ready for the ceremony, accompanied by the bridesmaids and groomsmen.
We then made our way across to the main house and the amazing K room, the beautiful setting for the wedding ceremony at Fairyhill with panoramic views of the surrounding woodland providing the backdrop. Taking some simple candid moments of the ceremony always provides some great reminders of the “I do’s”.
With the wedding ceremony complete the remainder of the day was spent in the fantastic grounds around the venue, taking plenty of images of the guest celebrations. We also took a little time to take some relaxed wedding portraits and cover a few group photos as required. I should also mention a unique guest of honour, Katie’s gorgeous horse who made a special appearance!
The evening celebrations included covering the wedding speeches, an amazing champagne tower, cutting the cake, the first dance and as a finale a sparkler exit. A selection of images from the day are shown below together with a wedding highlight film.
