I recently had the pleasure of documenting the wedding celebrations of Cheryl and Andrew, where the day included a traverse of South Wales from Cardiff to Swansea as well as visiting the very western most tip of Gower.
The day began with coverage of the bridal and groom preparations in Cardiff before making our way to the nearby Heath Evangelical Church for the wedding ceremony. We encountered a range of weather conditions throughout the day starting with a dash through the rain showers to begin the wedding service. With the formalities complete we took a short drive into the city centre for a few photos at Alexandra Gardens with Andrew and Cheryl. Fortunately the weather was already improving and allowed some time for a few relaxed wedding portraits in the picturesque city gardens.
From here we headed back westwards along the M4 to Swansea and the Gower for the wedding reception at the fabulous wedding venue of Oldwalls. Much of the remainder of the day was spent capturing candid moments of the celebrations as well as spending a little time covering a few group photos.
For the full Gower experience though, it’s always great to visit the landmark location of Rhossili. Wedding photos at any time of year always look great with the panoramic views across Llangennith Beach providing the backdrop, however the dramatic weather conditions on the day provided some added drama and fantastic photo opportunities.
A selection of images from the day are below together with the wedding highlight film.
